The look on parents’ and kids’ faces when they get some “answers” and learn some ways to really thrive.

What is something clients might never guess about you?

I was vegan and had dreadlocks for about five years in my 20’s!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A pediatrician. I’ve always loved working with kids đŸ™‚

I’m a licensed psychologist practicing in Fort Collins, Colorado. I graduated with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University in August 2008. Most of my clinical time prior to starting my practice occurred in university counseling centers, but I also spent a couple of years working with older adults in extended care facilities and in elementary school classrooms for autistic children and kids with emotional regulation difficulties. I also spent two years as a psychometrist under a Clinical Neuropsychologist.

More personally, I grew up in South Carolina before finding my home in Fort Collins over twenty years ago. You may find me running or biking around town in the warmer months or spending time in the mountains when it’s colder. I enjoy cooking with my wife (also a therapist), hanging out with our two teenagers (most of the time), and walking our lazy golden retriever. I also host The Testing Psychologist, a consulting service and podcast aimed at helping psychologists and other mental health professionals add or grow psychological assessment services in their practices.
