Licensed Psychologist
[ she/her ]
What do you most look forward to about the work you do?
I look forward to the lightbulb moments when clients find their strength, renewed sense of hope, answers to their questions, and self-compassion for the challenges they have had to work through.
What do you most value about the work you do?
I really value the relationship with each and every client. When someone feels safe and trusting enough to let me in on their experiences, feelings, and thoughts, it is an incredible honor that I don't take for granted.
What is something clients might never guess about you?
I am obsessed with Disney, Harry Potter, and the tv-show F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a pediatrician.
I'm a licensed psychologist in Ft. Collins, Colorado, with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado! I also hold a doctoral minor in Applied Statistics and Research Methods. I am an alumna of UNC with two undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business Management. I completed my doctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at the Colorado Center for Assessment and Counseling and am thrilled to now be here as a licensed psychologist.
I have been lucky to work at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Psychological Services Clinic at UNC, North Range Behavioral Health Crisis Response Team, and the McNair Scholars Program at UNC. My research has predominantly centered around adversities including childhood trauma, gender disparities, first-generation student experiences, and historical psychology. My dissertation was titled, Childhood Trauma History and Vicarious Traumatization in Early Career Mental Health Professionals: The Roles of Supervisory Working Alliance and Shame.
On a personal note, I was born and raised by the beach in Carlsbad, California. I moved to Colorado in 2012 and have called Colorado my home since. In my free time, I enjoy snuggling with my cats (Lilo and Sophie), baking, watching anything Disney or Harry Potter, spending time with friends, drawing, or playing trivia and board games.
