What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

I love being able to work with people to answer the BIG questions that they have. My hope is that our work together can help you learn about yourself and how your brain works, as well as highlight strengths!

What do you value most about the work you do?

I value the genuine connection with people and the vulnerability it takes to do that. I appreciate being able to assist and encourage people on their journey whether it be through assessment or therapy.

What is something clients might never guess about you?

I’m an avid concert-goer!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher. I had some great role models growing up and they inspired me to want to guide and help others, so I became a psychologist!

Hi there! I am a Licensed Psychologist here at CCAC and I am looking forward to meeting with you! I graduated from Iowa State University with my PhD in Counseling Psychology, and I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Southern Arizona Psychological Internship Consortium. My post-doc was done right here at CCAC and I am fortunate to still be here as a staff member. In my training, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including university counseling centers, group private practice, community mental health, and residential treatment. My focus has been conducting psychological evaluations for a number of presentations including ADHD, learning disorders, ASD, and behavioral/emotional disorders. I have also enjoyed my work as an individual and group therapist!

I consider myself an approachable, client-centered and emotion-focused clinician. I love being able to process difficult and uncomfortable emotions and to really allow you to be heard! I truly believe that you are the expert in you and my role is to meet you with curiosity and compassion. Also, I love being able to pull on my strengths of being detail-oriented and empathetic in the therapy and testing processes. When conducting psychological evaluations, I want to hear from you about what you think is going well (and things that aren’t) and incorporate that into our exploration together.

I enjoy exploring northern Colorado, running, and the abundant breweries!
