I am a fourth year at Colorado State University studying psychology with a clinical/counseling concentration, and I am the president of CSU's chapter of PsiChi, the international honors society of psychology. Some of my professional interests include trauma-informed therapy, therapy with adolescents, and therapy with clients who identify as queer. After my undergraduate degree I will be pursuing my masters in counseling psychology.
I began work in a clinical setting as a mentor in the Campus Connections program at CSU where I was able to work with at-risk youth in the Larimer County area ages 10-18. After that first experience I spent a year in a leadership role supervising other mentors.
After that experience I worked as an intern at CSU's Childhood Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center. There I worked alongside clinicians and transcribed psychological assessments of children ages 7-18 who had experienced complex trauma in their lives.
During both these experiences I realized the value of helping those who need it, and being of service to members of the community. I'm excited to continue pursuing these values at Colorado CAC as a Client Care Specialist!
Outside of my academic and career interests, I love going to art museums and learning about art history, as well as visiting new places.
