MEET THE TEAM
Doctoral Intern
[ she/her/hers ]
What do you most look forward to about the work you do?
Making a significant impact on the lives of children and their families through accurate, comprehensive assessment and inclusive care. Building strong, supportive relationships with patients and their families at such a young age, while observing progress, is invaluable to me.
What do you most value about the work you do?
Witnessing a child realize they are not "different" or alone, but rather capable and adept, is incredibly rewarding, as is improving healthcare access for marginalized and LGBTQIA+ populations.
What is something clients might never guess about you?
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A veterinarian or medical doctor. I have always had a passion for helping others, whether it be a mammal or human.
Hello! I am a doctoral intern here at CCAC, and I am excited to be joining the team as a fifth-year clinical psychology candidate! I received an undergraduate degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from California Baptist University. I have clinical and research interests in pediatric neuropsychology, traumatic brain injuries, disease resilience and recovery, neuroplasticity, and psychodiagnostic assessment. I have been fortunate enough to work with a breadth of pediatric patients with differing diagnoses, ages, identities, and backgrounds. When I am not immersed in psychological assessments, I enjoy working with clients from a health psychology approach, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). On a personal note, I was born and raised in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where I later relocated to the beach in Southern California with my family. I enjoy backpacking and roadtripping with my partner, traveling internationally, and spending time with my spicy tabby cat, Laguna.
