Counseling FAQ

What Does Counseling Look Like?

Counseling is an individual experience that will vary depending on your goals and your therapist. Generally speaking, your first few meetings will likely focus on what brought you to counseling and your hopes for our meetings. From there, we use a variety of approaches to help reach your goals. This may happen through exploring emotions and relationship patterns, identifying and helping you change unhelpful behaviors or thoughts, or simply providing a listening ear and honest feedback.
