Meet Our Staff

Andrea Caggiano, LCSW, CAC

Staff Psychotherapist

I love working with kids and families! I am a warm, compassionate and energetic therapist. I believe that therapy is a collaborative adventure that often leads to greater self awareness, acceptance and happiness. Many clients who work with me say that I help with awakening awareness and insight, encouraging action, fostering healing, and cultivating joy. My individual approach is catered to each client, integrating techniques from several schools of psychology.

I use my accepting nature, energetic spirit, and at times my sense of humor, to develop a strong, foundational rapport with children and adults. I work with clients of all ages across a variety of issues, however, I specialize in child and family counseling. I have experiences assisting clients struggling with a variety of things, including: depression, anxiety, self harm, school issues, LGBTQ/gender identity issues, behavioral concerns, PTSD, anxiety, mindfulness, anger management, parenting, couples and marriage counseling, marital difficulties, divorce and divorce recovery, sexual issues and grief and loss.

I grew up in Buffalo, New York and had the opportunity to live outside New York City and in rural New Mexico before settling in Fort Collins. I enjoy hiking in the foothills with my husband, two young children and our dog. I also enjoy knitting, biking around town, and yoga.

I am dually licensed in Colorado as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and as a Certified Addition Counselor. I completed my Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University in June 2009. I have over 12 years of clinical experience, much of which has been with community mental health agencies. Throughout my career, I have provided both mental health counseling and addiction counseling to individuals and groups. I have worked in community mental health, elementary schools and a small private practice. I previously worked as a clinical supervisor to a team of therapists in a large agency, but felt passionate about returning to clinical practice.
